Lead Times and Shipping

Production Times

Please be aware that we create all of our products fresh per order. We are NOT a franchise, nor do we have on-hand, back stock, or otherwise any product for immediate shipment. We need a lead time for production plus shipping. If you need a specific delivery date, please e-mail or telephone. We do not include a Delivery Date option on our product pages - due to the freshly, hand crafted, one-of-a-kind nature of all of our products, we cannot always be highly specific to a production time and delivery date. If you have a specific date in mind, please e-mail or telephone us with instructions. With a guaranteed shipping method, we will, most likely, be able to meet your requirements if you have allowed enough time for production.

Due to the nature of the individual packaging for shipment of our products (separate cartons for each product type), and the inherent limitations of a shopping cart system, we are unable to provide shipping charges when ordering. Shipping charges are based on box size, weight, dimensional weight, and handling fee and factor in your final shipping charge.

The minimum lead time for any of our products, including our Cookie Bouquets,
Hand-Decorated Cookies and Creations and Decorated Sugar Cubes is 1 to 3 business days. All of our items are freshly handmade per order - we do not have any on-hand, premade, shelf or back stock products. Cookies 'N Cream is a small, specialty bakery - all of our products carefully hand crafted, one-at-a-time. This makes it difficult to always be specific about production time. Consequently, we do not include options on our product pages for your desired delivery dates. If you need your items to arrive at a specific time, you may certainly e-mail or telephone us to make a request for a specific delivery date. We work diligently to fill all orders as quickly as possible.

For quantities of over 50 cookie products please contact us, as the production time will be longer. Gourmet cookies require a 24 to 72 hour production time, extra large orders may require more time.

Shipping/Handling cost are dependent on weight and destination postal code. All products are shipped in separate cartons, which limits our ability to give difinitve cost at checkout. Please remember to consider shipping time. The continuing rise in fuel costs have prompted us to generally ship our Cookie Bouquets by a Ground method. You may certainly e-mail or telephone us to specify an expedited method. All other products are generally shipped by a 2-3 day method. We are NOT a franchise – we ship from one location, on the west coast, only. It is always wise to order as early as possible to allow for production and shipping time.

We bake Monday through Saturday. We do not run your charge until your order is in process, (this, as well, for the many orders placed up to a year, or more, before the desired delivery date). Ordering in advance is always welcome and appreciated. Any orders placed and paid for after 12:00 pm PST will begin process on the next business day. Please note that it may take longer during peak seasons to process and ship orders. If you need your order to arrive on a specific day, please e-mail or telephone to make this request.

Celebration and Wedding Cake Production Times

All celebration cakes require at least a 48 hour lead time. More time will be needed for cakes that are deeply detailed or that require specialty decorations.

Wedding cake orders must be made as much ahead of time as possible. A Reservation Deposit (non-refundable but price applicable) is required when you decide to have us create your wedding cake.

Generally, celebration cakes are available for local pick-up or delivery. This does not apply to wedding cakes and other multipole tierd cakes. Arrangements can be made for a special presentation delivery if desired.

Shipping

All products are shipped from one location on the West Coast. Due to the current increases in fuel costs, shipping charges have risen dramatically. We search diligently to find the best shipping value for your order. We generally ship by Ground Service (USPS Parcel Post or private carrier) for Cookie Bouquets unless you request expedited service (please e-mail or telephone with this request). From the time we hand your package over to the shipper, your order can take from 2-8 business days for shipping, regular ground, depending on destination city. Higher cost, expedited shipping for Cookie Bouquets is available with USPS Express or Priority Mail or UPS/FedEx (please e-mail or telephone with this request). All of our products are shipped with insurance, and for your convenience, you will receive a Tracking Number when your order is shipped.

For an overnight, guaranteed delivery date, USPS Express Mail and UPS/FedEx 1st Day Air are available to most locations (please e-mail or telephone with this request). These guaranteed shipping methods apply to your shipping cost only.

Because our products require extra care and protection for shipping, a Handling Fee is included in the shipping cost. Shipping and Handling charges will be added to your order prior to billing. Please note that for additional protection, Cookies 'N Cream does not ship more than one cookie bouquet per carton or more than 50 individual large-size cookies per carton. This is important to know for orders of 50+ cookies. The shipping cost for each carton is figured separately. Some cookie products and confections can be mixed in one carton for shipping.

We ship our cookies all over the world. Our men and women in uniform greatly love and appreciate our products. We ship APO and FPO. For Non-military, international customers (which includes Alaska and Hawaii), the USPS is available. If you prefer private carrier, you must choose Air Delivery service since Ground service is not available to these areas.

Local Delivery

Local delivery includes: $5.00 in Redmond area. $15.00 from 30 Mile Radius of Redmond, Oregon. Orders can be picked up at our location with prior arrangement. If you desire a local “special delivery” presentation, please contact us by telephone or e-mail.

We work diligently to get your order out as quickly as possible and to have your order to its destination when you desire.

We are not a delivery company, we are a cookie and cake company - we rely entirely on our customer to supply the correct address to us. Cookies 'N Cream is not responsible for shipping delays caused by the shipping company, or for charges incurred for re-delivery attempts and/or incorrect address information or for international customs charges. USPS Express Mail is guaranteed one day delivery in most cases. UPS, and FedEx offer 1st, 2nd and 3rd Day Air with delivery guarantees (Please e-mail or telephone for expedited shipping) . A claim may be filed with the courier for a return of your shipping cost if they fail to deliver on time. If there is a delivery error made by the shipping company, the customer may file a claim with the shipping company.

Confirming the exact time of delivery for items shipped by USPS Priority or Parcel Post Mail and UPS/FedEx Regular Ground is beyond our control. Also, be aware that all of our products are shipped with insurance and this may require a signature at delivery. We know that many orders are to be a surprise for the recipient, but it is in our customer's interest to notify the recipient to expect a delivery if a signature is required. This will help avoid any problem in packages being returned. Please understand that we cannot be responsible for shipping delays or returns that are outside our control or occur due to the following:

• Holiday season shipping rush or delays
• Rural area constraints
• No response or pick-up by the recipient
• Incorrect address information entered or inability to know about Undeliverable addresses.
